Canasta originated in Uruguay in the 1940’s. There are many versions of Canasta such as: Kanasta, Burraco, Chile, Samba, Cuban, Bolivia and Brazilian.

Hello yalls, I got this old canasta board its wooden, the year on it looks like it says 1943 or 1948 but its a little blurry it still has its original pegs, it has an original paper bag over it that says canasta its a little ripped. I have no idea what its worth so if someone can give me a price range I would really appreciate it. I can take a picture if needed. Thank you Hidee.
